Lute

By: Jennifer Thorne

Release Date | October 4

Genre | Horror

Year after year, good fortune, good weather, and good health are experienced by those who live on the island of Lute. The inhabitants live happy, superior lives, unscathed by the war that rages across the water. It is only fair that to remain blessed, seven people must be sacrificed to honour the islands' blessed gifts.

It is Nina Treadway's first time attending The Day. Born in Florida, her marriage to Lord Treadway has brought her to the island as his family are protectors of the land. Nina doesn't believe in The Day; she's heard about it of course but the stories are nonsense, told to keep newcomers and youngsters in line.

Then The Day begins and Nina discovers it is real. All the sacrifices, the horror, the loss, it's all real but so is the sense of community, of survival, of love. When the day ends, Nina - and Lute - will never be the same.
