The plot pulls you in. Lowen has been asked to finish Verity's infamous crime series after her accident. The plot starts with a bang, a car crash to be exact and from there the wild ride begins. From Lowen accepting the job, the stay at Verity's home, to uncovering secrets, to the ending - all of the plot is captivating.

The plot weaves in romance, lust, and desire with murder, deception and secrets. It will pull you in tight making it worth your time.

A plot with unpredictability and much (so much) desire around every corner. Join Lowen as she delve's deeper into the Crawford life whilst harbouring a malicious manuscript; she is primed to disrupt their lives but does she? You'll have to read Verity to find out.

The characters all have one thing in common, burning love. Either for their spouse, a grieving husband, or their children - this novel is written around love. Sometimes I forget romance novels exist so if you are a fan of the genre, please dismiss my surprise by having a novel written around intense love.

Love is what drives the character's and is what exposes their true personalities. You are in for a wild ride with these characters. Love them.

Oooolalala, Verity's ending is a banger. It will leave you with thousands of questions and is why you should suggest this read for book club.

If you are looking for something to talk about with your friends, Verity is for you. Upon finishing Verity, you will want to know Verity. A read I recommend as all aspects of it are successful and worth your time.

What can I even say. Verity is the most romantic novel I have ever read and I think I liked it. Eh, okay - lust and desire dominating a story will never be my cup of tea and I doubt I would have read this novel if it had not been for the sinister undertones of the writing. Lowen's desire for Jeremy overpowered the insanity of the situation downplaying for the whole novel that the mother was a psychopath. But was she?

Or was Jeremy the villain? That is the question Verity leaves you with and why this is a great novel to discuss with others. Who was the villain? How did Harper truly die? Was the letter that Verity wrote at the end the truth or another concoction?

Verity leaves you with questions and that is a good thing for this piece of work. I will be reminiscing on Verity  for a moment as I try to determine what happened and if Lowen and Jeremy are crazy or Verity is. I have tons of thoughts and questions that I cannot wait to discuss with you.

I appreciated all aspects of this novel but think I will not read other works by Hoover. I read in her author's notes that Verity is the most sinister she has gone with her writing and for me this is the least sinister I can go when it comes to romance. For those searching for a combination of romance and thrills, Verity is the answer.
