Agatha Christie has gone missing, her abandoned car and distraught family are what remain. Archie, her husband has no clue about her whereabouts and England decides to launch their largest manhunt to find the mystery writer.

Agatha is discovered eleven days later claiming amnesia and no reason as to what could have caused her disappearance. The reason puzzles those assigned to the case and with her husband's shady reaction to the event, could he have played a role in her disappearance? What is real and what is a mystery?

| Why The Mystery of Mrs. Christie Is Worth Your Time

This is a mystery waiting to be unravelled. This is a novel you will not be able to put down once you start. It is simple to read, certain moments are easily guessable, and yet - it is a delight.

Filled with witty prose, an insight into the early 1900s, and a fictional exploration of one the most iconic who-dun-it writers of all time, grab a glass and take a seat because this is worth your time.

| Plot Progression

The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Marie Benedict is split into two parts: before her disappearance and during. The before is told via Agatha's point of view and the during is told through her husband's.

You will be sucked into this mystery of what caused Agatha to disappear and whether or not the tumultuous relationship with her husband was the cause. If you didn't know better, Archie would seem to be the ideal killer.

The questions that arise whilst reading is why it is a mystery. The plot has so many questions and will leave you playing detective. I was hooked when reading this and I think you will be too.

| Characters

Meet Agatha Christie, her husband, their daughter, the detectives, the relatives, and the hired hands. A wide array of characters with none out of place and they are fun to read is because Agatha Christie is a household name. Devolving into a fictional story about her and a mysterious disappearance so similar to what she writes about is just a delight.

After reading this, if you are unaware of  the real woman Christie, you will be compelled to research her and whether or not the disappearance is based on is actually true.

| Ending

It creates questions upon questions upon questions. It will leave you eager to discuss the novel with friends and what really happened in the story.

An ending I myself found rereading and then sighing as I realised how many clues I missed and how badly I wanted to know more. The Mystery of Mrs. Christie is a story you will want for book club with an ending worthy of discussion.

WARNING: Skip My Thoughts for a spoiler free review.

I was RIVETED by The Mystery of Mrs. Christie. I am currently listening to Agatha Christie's novel, Murder on Orient Express, and when this novel became available for pickup at my library I thought to myself, what perfect timing!

I was able to immerse myself in Christie's fictional writing whilst reading a fictional novel about her. It was a full day of Christie and I loved it. Do be excited, I am planning on reading all of Agatha Christie's works and discussing them with you guys but for now, a novel about her must do!

I genuinely was captivated. At the end I found myself loving how the whole story could be a manuscript. I found value in Archie being the prime suspect (he was a butt-face so...) even though we know he did not do it but it still gave me some vindication hearing his frustrations surrounding the case. Once Archive burnt the letter, I knew Agatha was behind her own disappearance. I am curious though, what was in that letter? Was Archie instructed the whole time or did Agatha make it up? Did he go to the paper with intention to make himself look bad, were all of his actions predetermined or spurred by something else - what was on that letter?!?

So many mysterious questions and is why I had fun reading this especially after the ending that for me, uncovered things I did not expect. I could not put The Mystery of Mrs. Christie down and it was a good mystery in my opinion even if some moments were expected. Who cares? It was a fun mystery novel and I enjoyed reading it.
